Additionally, you\u2019ll be adding a <strong>cardio exercise<\/strong> to your workout routine and <strong>controlling your center of gravity.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lateral Jumps increase the<strong> coordination between the torso and legs<\/strong>, and it helps in<strong> stabilizing the hip, knees and feet joints<\/strong>. This exercise also promotes agility and weight transfer through the alternated jumps from one foot to the other.<\/p>\n<p>Technically, this exercise is also an excellent exercise to prevent injuries because it helps you stabilizing your knees and feet, making your ankles stronger, thus <strong>preventing sprains.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>WHAT<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Lateral Jumps is a functional exercise that promotes lateral stabilization.<\/li>\n<li>This exercise has a cardio element and, at the same time, demands a lot from the quadriceps, hamstrings and glutes.<\/li>\n<li>Promotes the stabilization of your trunk and activates the structures in your body that control your hips.<\/li>\n<li>It activates the trunk muscles and stimulates balance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>HOW<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Stand beside the bar; it should be suspended and close to the ground.<\/li>\n<li>Start performing the exercise slowly.<\/li>\n<li>Bend your knee and move your feet over the bar, transferring your bodyweight to the opposite side.<\/li>\n<li>Now that you already have the weight over the feet that crossed the bar, bend the knee of the opposite leg and close your legs.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat the movement.<\/li>\n<li>Now that you\u2019re more familiarized with the movement, start increasing the speed.
