Waaaay back. <\/strong>We\u2019re talking about a time when our ancestors didn\u2019t spend the day in an office slumped over a desk, they didn\u2019t retire to the sofa on an evenings and they certainly weren\u2019t driving to the local shop for milk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our primal relatives, cavemen and women, didn\u2019t even think about exercise. Exercise was life. Every single day required <strong>natural physical movement<\/strong> in order to gather food and water, build homes and simply survive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We may no longer be sprinting from sabre-toothed tigers, but we should be capable to perform these <strong>4 functional natural movements.<\/strong> Practice them every day and you\u2019ll slowly reverse the effects of seditionary modern life, building strength, stamina and agility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4 NATURAL MOVEMENTS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Movement 1: The Squat<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The simplest of super-moves<\/strong>, squatting is one of the best exercises for your lower body. It <strong>builds strength, mobility<\/strong> and can be directly applied to our daily movements. Whether you\u2019re getting low to reach something from the bottom shelf or squatting down to tie your shoelaces, <strong>life is easier when you can squat. <\/strong>But as we get older and less active, squats become harder. Practice this natural movement daily, eventually working your way down to a <a href=\"https:\/\/evofitness.at\/en\/tutorial-deep-squat\/\">deep squat<\/a> (as long as it doesn\u2019t give you any pain).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Movement 2: Deep breathing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You might not think of breathing as exercise, but you\u2019d be surprised how many people don\u2019t do it right. <strong>Proper optimal breathing requires practice<\/strong>, just like learning to do a <a href=\"https:\/\/evofitness.at\/en\/evo-tutorial-handstand\/\">handstand<\/a> would. It\u2019s easy to rush through the day taking shallow breaths, but <strong>slowing down and breathing into your belly and back can do wonders for your physical and mental health.<\/strong> You\u2019ll move more efficiently, improve your posture and be able to tackle that tough day at work more easily. Whether you\u2019re stretching or strength training, sitting at your desk or relaxing in the bath, these <a href=\"https:\/\/evofitness.at\/en\/breathing-techniques\/\">breathing techniques<\/a> are fundamental to health and fitness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Movement 3: Walking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The benefits of walking are no revelation. Hippocrates told us that <strong>\u2018walking is a man\u2019s best medicine\u2019<\/strong> over 2,000 years ago: he\u2019s yet to be proven wrong. Just like breathing, you don\u2019t need us to tell you how to walk &#8211; it\u2019s a basic human skill. What you do need to know is that you should dedicate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhs.uk\/live-well\/exercise\/walking-for-health\/\">150 minutes to brisk walking<\/a> every week. It doesn\u2019t need to be life-changing: <strong>simply getting off the bus a stop earlier or taking the stairs instead of the lift<\/strong> can boost your step-count and improve health and fitness. There are plenty of ways to make your daily walk more interesting: jump over logs, balance on rocks, carry something with you, or feel like a kid again by trying to avoid any cracks in the pavement<strong>. Bringing play and exploration into your routine<\/strong> will improve your <a href=\"https:\/\/evofitness.at\/en\/natural-movement-3-exercises\/\">natural movements<\/a> and you\u2019ll be amazed how much joy it can bring into your fitness regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Movement 4: Lifting (properly)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Can you easily shift your bodyweight from the floor, lifting a toy, without using your hands?<\/strong> Toddlers can. There\u2019s also nothing quite like a heavy shopping trip to show you how much your body can really ache. But lifting objects from the floor and carrying groceries home should be activities that require no thought or skill &#8211; they should be completely unchallenging movements. The key is to <a href=\"https:\/\/evofitness.at\/en\/tutorial-barbell-deadlift\/\">use proper technique everytime you lift.<\/a> It\u2019s easy to mindlessly bend over and swoop something up &#8211; but practicing your positioning and breathing, timing and tension daily will strengthen your body and make lifting easier over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Our clubs are designed to practice all types of natural movements.
