You must use your core &#8211; engaging it helps prevent you from straining your back. Also, start light (around six pounds for beginners) to avoid other back injuries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Slamming techniques <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can do so much more with a slam ball than simply slam it on the floor or wall. If you want to make the most of your slam session, <strong>the list of slamming techniques is endless<\/strong>: full-body exercises hitting every major muscle group, <strong>glute-specific deadlifts, slam-ball Supermans<\/strong>\u2026 the age-old fitness tool never gets boring. From <strong>Bulgarian squats to burpee slams and even bear crawls<\/strong>, take a look at some of our favorite slam ball exercises here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3 SLAM BOARD EXERCISES<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Ball push slam<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Keep core and glutes tight. <\/li><li>Squeeze shoulder blades together. <\/li><li>Drive hips up. <\/li><li>In this explosive movement designed to improve power and control, you will be throwing the ball against the wall. Focus on rapidly drive the hips forward and upwards as you push the ball. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fun tip: <\/strong>choose a number on the slam wall and stick to it. Extend your arms beyond your head.<\/li><li>Keeping your arms straight, throw the ball against the wall. As the ball bounces back, catch it and slowly lower your body to perform to ab exercise.<\/li><li>Keep you feet planted at all times as you toss the ball back and forth. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Exercise should be simple.
